Introducing VACATION SURPRISE! A reimagining of our Par Avion line, featuring custom lettering by our friend, Mr. Ken Barber – aka @typelettering. Ken is a letterer, type designer, and author of the House Industries Lettering Manual.
Soon after the pandemic struck, WBW was informed by certain external parties that we should refrain from continuing to use the words Par Avion to name our beers, lest it lead to consumer confusion. As John (our VP of Creative and Brand Marketing) was thumbing through his new copy of the Lettering Manual, three illustrations on Page 96 of the book caught his eye – TEQUILA * VACATION * SURPRISE. And a Vacation Surprise is exactly what these Yacht Deck Sours are – Beers that perfectly reimagine the taste of certain cocktails – Margaritas, Pina Coladas, Raspberry Peach Bellinis, and Cosmos.
