The Alamo Room at Wilmington Brew Works is the perfect place to host an event! This space can be transformed to accommodate anything from birthday and anniversary parties to bridal and baby showers, to live music or comedy shows. We’ve even had weddings!

The space is separate from our bustling taproom, which makes it intimate for your special day. The Alamo Room has its own semi-private patio and separate entrance. A Wilmington Brew Works team member will act as a dedicated bar server and concierge for your event.

Your own food and entertainment options are welcomed, and we’ll be happy to provide you and your patrons with a variety of drink options, including beer and cider from the best brewery in town.

To discuss your reservation, please fill out the form on the Contact Us page. Requests are addressed in the order they are received.

FAQ:

Q: How many people can I have at the Alamo Room?
A: The Occupancy is 85. This is for seated shows. If you are having a seated event at tables, the expected max seating is around 64. Please contact us with specific questions about occupancy.

Q: Do you have food available?
A: We do not have food service at The Alamo Room or Wilmington Brew Works. You are welcome and encouraged to cater your event with food and non-alcoholic, pre-packaged beverages from outside sources. (We do not supply cups, plates, napkins or ice.) Private Food trucks are not permitted. All unconsumed food and serving platters must be removed by the event organizer. No outside alcohol is permitted.

Q: Most of my family aren’t beer drinkers – what do you have for them?
A: In addition to beer we make on site, we also make our own Cider. We also have wine and spirits available for limited cocktails in our taproom. As a craft alcohol producer in the state of Delaware, the law allows us to serve alcohol products from other Delaware Craft Alcohol Producers – it means all the alcohol we can carry must come from a Delaware based company. We carry wine from Harvest Ridge, and spirits from Dogfish Head. Our full menu is available for your parties. Please see sample Cocktail Menu.

Q: Can I bring my own alcohol?
A: No. We are not a BYOB. Our liquor license does not allow you to bring in outside alcohol.

Q: I will want to come in before my party to set up. Can I?
A: You are allotted 1 hour prior to the beginning of your event for setup, and 30 minutes after your event concludes for breakdown.

Q: What do the tables & chair rental and table linen line-items include?
A: The table and chair rental includes set up of the room to your preferred configuration using 5 ft round tables, with chairs, for guest seating, and 8 ft rectangular tables for your catering. We offer beige table linens for all tables.

Q: Can I decorate any way I want?
A: Generally, we encourage you to decorate the room for your event! We love to see interesting ways you can decorate. However, there are a few limitations.

Q: Can I have a kids party in the Alamo Room?
A: Yes, but…. We’ve had plenty of 1st birthday parties and communion celebrations. That being said, a Sweet Sixteen on a Friday evening isn’t quite appropriate at a brewery. We will not rent the room on a Friday or Saturday evening for a party that is majority underage. It presents too many risks for us and our staff. We will consider a party of this kind on a Saturday or Sunday Afternoon.

Q: We don’t need a dedicated bar server because we don’t drink. Can that be removed from the rate?

A: No – if your party doesn’t drink, we are not the right venue for your event. We are a Brewery that has a Rental Space – selling alcohol is our core business. We are able to offer reasonable rates on the rental because we expect to offset it with sales of our award-winning beer and cider. Weekday corporate events may not require a server. Please inquire.

Q: I am interested in having a corporate off-site, or professional meeting, at the Alamo Room. Is that possible?

A: We rent our space during the week for various professional meetings. Please contact us to discuss timing, pricing, and availability.

Q: Are there any special rules we should know about?
A: YES! Take a read:

  1. Absolutely no confetti, glitter or silly string of any kind. (We thought it was important to mention this twice).
  2. We have a 100% ID check policy.
  3. Selling of tickets to the public for an event at the Alamo Room or advertising that uses any images or the name of Wilmington Brew Works or The Alamo Room must have prior consent and approval.
  4. We require a $100 non-refundable deposit at time of contract, applied to the room tab.
  5. There is a minimum 20% gratuity on the entire cost of the room rental. This goes directly to the staff the supports your event.
