It’s time to spread our wings.
Announcing BREW WORKS NORTH, a second location in the heart of the Brandywine Hundred. A modern take on a retro pub.
We are thrilled to let everyone know that Wilmington Brew Works is growing. We were approached in late 2024 to consider the corner unit location at Branmar III on Marsh Rd, previously home to Bellefonte Brewing Company. For us, it made all the sense in the world.
We love our Flagship Location on Miller Rd, and don’t worry, we aren’t leaving! Miller Rd will remain home to our Brewing operations and still have Wilmington’s Best German-Style Beer Hall, not to mention our amazing outdoor spaces. Turntable Tuesday, Wednesday Trivia, Run Club Thursday and Live Music on the Weekends are just some of the staples on the North Side of Wilmington. The Alamo Room is still one of the most fun and cost-effective places to host an event. None of that is changing.
But sometimes we want to spread out and have a little fun, play some games. That’s where Brew Works North comes in. When we first walked into the space at Marsh Rd, it was clear: There’s so much room for activities! Bar Games, and Bar Leagues, are time-honored American Traditions, so let’s embrace it!
- Two Competition Cornhole Hole Lanes for league and recreational play
- Five Darts Lanes, for hanging out with friends and league play.
- A billiards room in a non-intimidating setting. We’re looking at 2 tables.
We’re also looking at bringing in a few pinball machines, shuffleboard tables, and foosball tables. There will be some TVs with games on, and modern Jukebox for when you just need to hear that song. Plenty of table seating and lounge areas to sit and enjoy the atmosphere with friends. Bellefonte Brewing built a great community location and we’re looking to carry that torch.
Brew Works North will feature all your favorite Beer and Cider from Wilmington Brew Works, plus guest taps with beer from other amazing Delaware Breweries, and house cocktails with Delaware Spirits. We will welcome outside food at Brew Works North, and there are tons of great food options in the area. Cellarman’s Circle Members will enjoy Membership Benefits at both locations. Brew Works North will be a 21+ space.
Finally, we are thrilled to welcome longtime WBW Cidermaker and Assistant Brewer, Ryan Rice, to the ownership team. He has been a core member of our team since the beginning and in his current role as General Manager, he has cultivated an amazing taproom atmosphere and stellar team camaraderie. He will serve as Chief Operating Officer for both locations.
We’ve only been in the space for about a week, and are hard at work renovating. We’re targeting a mid-to-late-spring opening and will be sure to keep you all posted! Thanks for coming on this journey with us.
